Apparently Cecilia Dart Thornton is now some random relative of mine by marriage. Is that reason enough to read her books, do you think?

seems like as good a reason as any. like, they're not bad books. want to have them in time for adelaide? :oP

Hmm-- we're leaving tomorrow morning at the crack of dawn, so let's see if anyone else wants them and if there's still no claims by next week then I could nab them off you? I don't want to pinch them off someone who genuinely really wants them, and I'm merely curious.

sure! have fun in adelaide! are you driving or flying?

Argh-- I just remembered that I still haven't gotten a red packet for my cousin yet! (I give him money, he gives my unmarried sister money... I may as well just give it to her directly!)

Flying, fortunately. I don't know how often I could bear that drive.

I have spares! If only we'd had this conversation earlier today, when I was driving past your house!

Ahahaha, of course you have spares! Ah well-- they're easily enough available in Adelaide; I'll just have to remember to get one before Friday, is all. They're having a traditional pre-wedding tea ceremony, which I've never done before... should be interesting.

Do you still want these? I have them if you want them.

Hey-- since we last spoke my move to Sydney has been confirmed, and I figure I can't be collecting more books (in fact, I think I'll be following your example and doing a giveaway in the not too distant future). Not to mention my, er, stack of unread books is presently a mile high. But thank you for the offer-- it's a shame nobody else wants them!

Oh awesome! I thought you still had the interview to go?

Unfortunate it's his job we're going for... I'm now scrambling in catch-up mode to try and find something for myself. Which is proving less than easy! I'm sure it will work out, one way or the other.

you can indeed!

when would be good for us to do a book swap? If it is convenient, I am at Friends of the Earth in Collingwood every Saturday from 1pm - 4pm. Otherwise I can arrange to be in the CBD, in the Brunswick-ish area, or in the Malvern-ish area, at some convenient time. But you live North-ish, yar? Or I can actually pop it in the post, I bet postage to Northish is cheap.

Thank you! I do indeed live Northish. My sleep cycle is so irregular at the moment that I'm worried I'd stuff you around by making a time then not showing up, so maybe we'd better do this by post. Do you have a PayPal account I can use to send you the postage? According to Australia post, it should come to about $6.60, does that sound OK?

Man, I should have friended you so much earlier!

(Not just for books.)

(Can you say 'friended' on DW? 'Circled'? 'Dwircled'?)

I say friended because I'm oldschool and it's multipurpose. Circled makes it sound like you're doing something bad.
